WSA Temperature Monitoring Project
WSA team of volunteers have been busy over last month removing temperature
loggers from eleven spawning streams, firstly to allow electro fishing to take place
and secondly to service and renew batteries for this seasons data logging. The
high water conditions of mid October delayed our work somewhat but all loggers
are now back in place and began recording water and air temperatures every hour
from 22nd October. This will continue for the second year, adding to the data from
winter/ spring 2017/18. A summary of last years data has been supplied to NRW and
will add to their knowledge and reporting on juvenile stock levels.
