Redbrook Sewage Treatment Works Investigation

Following the sewage scare earlier in the summer Dougal Ziegler and his Environmental Action Team at EA Hereford carried out a biological investigation into its effects.

Their report can be found at : https://1drv.ms/b/s!AhDl1sl1boH_ingEbr2-fWOg9Kqv

We further understand that phosphate stripping will commence at this treatment plant  [Newlans STW] discharging at Redbrook next year. This we understand is likely is to cause a few soapy bubbles to appear that are not a danger to habitat.

Other sewage works upstream will get similar treatment at later dates and  should help reduce algal blooms.

Thanks to  Dougal and his team  at the EA for organising this and seeing it through after ours and a number of owners representions.
