I see in last weeks Hereford Time a Gloucester farmer was fined £30,000plus for polluting the river Leadon in Gloucester when a worker opened a valve and release fluid from an anabolic Digester into the river.  It was said the pipe discharged about 100 tons of fluid per hour.  Considerable fish kills.  His costs, part of the final total, incurred by the EA in bringing the case, amounted to some £27,000.  Will it be a lesson learned elsewhere I wonder?
